Dariole Molds

I get this question a lot, so I figured it would fit with the June theme for this blog – What is a dariole mold? A dariole mold is a small, round mold, and can be found by different retailers by the name of  ‘aspic mold’ or ‘baba mold’. These molds are used for both sweet and savory menu items. Darioles, the dessert, are traditional, small puff pastry treats filled with frangipane flavored with Kirsch.

Below are examples of what a dariole mold looks like. Depending on the manufacturer, they can be made of stainless steel, non-stick metal, aluminim, and other materials.
